In in-person training, the scene is familiar: the client trains, you correct form, adjust the load and write it all down in a notebook, a notes app or your memory. At the next session, the question is the same: “how much did you do on the bench press last time?”.
Now trainers can run the session from their own phone and log the workout straight into the client’s history.
How it works
- In the app, open the client’s profile and today’s workout.
- Tap Train with client.
- During the session, log load and reps for each set while the client performs it.
- When you’re done, finish the workout. The log goes to the client’s history, as if they had entered it themselves.
The client doesn’t need a phone in hand, and you don’t need to copy anything over afterward.
Next session’s load is already there
Because the log lives in the client’s history, the next time they do that exercise (with you or on their own) the app already suggests the last load used. Each exercise’s progress stays continuous, with no gaps on in-person days.
What a trainer-led session doesn’t do (on purpose)
A session logged by the trainer doesn’t create a check-in and doesn’t count toward the client’s streaks and achievements. Those metrics exist to measure the client’s habit, and mixing trainer-led sessions with the workouts they do alone would distort that picture.
There are also no photos or workout notes in this mode: the focus is logging load and reps quickly, mid-session.
Security
Only professionals with an active link to the client can log. Each log is tagged with who made it, and a client’s data is never accessible to just any professional.
Who it’s for
- In-person trainers who want load history without a notebook;
- Hybrid coaching, with in-person sessions and solo workouts the rest of the week;
- Studios, where several clients train at once and logging has to be fast.
Conclusion
By logging the session on your phone, the client’s history is complete — in-person sessions and solo workouts in one place — and the notebook is no longer needed.
